We spent Kai’s 13th birthday in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and it couldn’t have been more perfect - minus the tsunami warning that had me freaking out for 45 minutes before it was cancelled. 😰

We had so much fun & needed this in so many ways!! I can’t believe I have a 13 year old! It helps that we were asked at least 6 times if we were sisters. 😅

Our hotel was such a vibe. They had the cutest gym, pool, morning stretch sessions, yummy food and coffee, and great service! I felt like a local with how everyone recognized me and said hi by the second day! Highly recommend if you want a more boutique hotel feel.

We will both remember this forever. 🥰🌺🌊

Got cute to go celebrate the upcoming arrival of our newest baby cousin. 🩵 Can’t wait to meet baby Balderston in just a couple months!! @duh_panduh @kb_aspect 🫶

It’s always a good time reminiscing with my cousins on our Spice Girls, Bratz dolls, Britney Spears dance routine days 😅 Also, this is the best photo Kai got so don’t be mad at me. 🫶

Hate cooking? I’m learning not to! Grocery trips,

Hate cooking? I’m learning not to! Grocery trips, trying not to mess up a recipe, the clean-up, and hoping the meal comes out edible all stress me tf out.

Some tips that have helped me:

• Start with just one day a week instead of thinking you’re going to meal prep for the whole week on a Sunday. I’m up to 2-3 days now - I cook M/W and make enough for T/Th. Friday’s we splurge (sushi, pizza. Etc.) and I try cooking Saturday if we don’t have plans.

• Get really familiar with a few easy recipes then start alternating with one familiar and one new.

• Invest in helpful cooking gadgets! I love finding cool tools on Amazon that make things easier. I’m also slowly upgrading to better quality items for the important stuff like knives and pots & pans.

• Do something you enjoy while you cook! Listen to a podcast, play some music, have a glass of wine if you need to. I’m currently taking a nutrition coaching course so I have been stacking this with my cooking.

• Change your mindset. I’m still working on the voice in my head that says “I hate cooking” or “I’m bad at cooking” and shifting to realizing it is a skill that requires practice. View cooking as not only good for your physical health but also your emotional health. It’s a true act of self-love.

I hope this encourages you to cook a little more, just try not to burn yourself with the olive oil. 😅

Sometimes we think we have to do it all, and do it

Sometimes we think we have to do it all, and do it now. Start with one area, and choose one small thing you can ADD to this area each day.

For me & my physical health, it’s food.

The people you see doing it all didn’t get there overnight. They made small steps forward and many steps back. The healthier version of you is on the other side of consistent tiny habits. 💛

What’s one small change you’ve made that shifted everything?
